My name is Anthony Mark Manuel, I am a web developer, a good husband (at least what I think), and a father of one
And I am a lifelong learner who loves to explore new technologies and tools to improve my skills and deliver better solutions for my clients.
My web development career started way back 2017 after I resigned from a customer service position in Cebu, Philippines.
I applied for a junior web builder role back then and got lucky. We used a custom-built CMS where we created websites and added functionality with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and API calls. I worked there for about two and a half years before the company ceased operations in the Philippines due to bankruptcy.
I then joined a company with a client base in Hawaii, USA. There I was introduced to WordPress and page builders. I used Divi to build websites from scratch while also creating backend functions, managing a dedicated A2 server, improving site performance, auditing sites with SEMrush, and handling on-page and off-page SEO, backlinks, and more. I worked there for about two years until the company shut down. They invited me to join the new company, but I declined because I wanted to work from home.
When the pandemic hit, I applied for a remote position and was hired by a former colleague from my first company. He trusted my work, and I continued building websites, managing servers, and doing SEO. I stayed in that role for over a year, but I resigned because I needed a better income to support my family.
My career continues today with experience in automation tools like Zapier, HubSpot, and ActiveCampaign, as well as CMS platforms like Webflow, Shopify, GoHighLevel, Replit, Lovable, and GitHub Copilot. I enjoy building lightweight, secure websites that are easy to edit and deploy.
